Waltermeyer Breaks Single-Game 3-Point Record in Win Over Wolves

Posted

Adding a record to a successful rivalry win on senior night against Black Hills, the Tumwater girls basketball team shut out the Wolves in the first half, 28-0, and rode that all the way to a 48-16 win Tuesday night.

Kylie Waltermeyer led the effort on offense, knocking down seven of her 18 3-point attempts for the school record for single-game 3-pointers made, and 21 points.

On defense, the Thunderbirds were a steel trap, holding the Wolves without a made field goal until 1:33 left in the third quarter with mostly bench players.

Regan Brewer added nine points, two steals, and five assists for the T-Birds.

Black Hills takes on Rochester on Friday in its regular season finale, while Tumwater has already clinched a District 4 tournament bid next week and will likely remain the No. 2 seed out of the 2A Evergreen Conference with just one league loss.
