The Rochester girls basketball team started both halves on hot streaks Tuesday in Shelton, and came back from Mason County with a 53-42 win.

The Warriors (7-4, 2-3 2A EvCo) led by eight points at halftime and went on a 17-5 run in the third quarter to push out a 20-point lead, before the Highclimbers came back with 19 points in the fourth to make the final scoreline look a little closer.

Delany Winter and Hannah Kush led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points apiece, while Mandy Andree-Cordell, Grace Hoover and Sara Haury all added seven. Haury also dished out eight assists.

Rochester will come back home to host W.F. West on Thursday.
