Warriors Swept by Grizzlies

The Rochester volleyball team could never get its feet under it Monday night at home in a three-set loss to Hoquiam.

The Warriors (1-1) played in three back-and-forth sets, but couldn’t come out on top in any of them in their first defeat of the season.

“The girls played really hard,” Warriors coach Bridget Morris said. “Lots of back and forth rallies that we just couldn’t win.”

The Warriors were led by Kassidy Byrd’s nine digs, Kylee Wild’s 2 blocks, and Roisin Stull’s four kills and eight digs. They’ll play La Center next on Thursday at home.
