The Rochester softball team will enter the postseason on a three-game winning streak, as the Warriors earned a 3-1 non-league win over Castle Rock on Friday.

Rochester scored in the first to take a 1-0 lead, and they added three in the second, one in the fourth, and two in the sixth to build a seven-run advantage.

McKenna Vassar tallied three hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs, and Cheyenne Justice also hit a triple and logged three hits.

Piper Quarnstrom added two hits and two RBIs, and Arissa LeBaron drove in a pair of her own.

Leah Hartley pitched well, allowing just four hits and three runs (one earned) while striking out four without issuing a walk.

Rochester (14-4, 7-1 1A Evergreen) will learn of its seeding in the upcoming 12-team District 1/4 Tournament over the weekend.

If the Warriors are a top-four seed, they’ll begin district tournament play in the quarterfinals. If they are seeded five through 12, they will play in the Round of 12.

Either way, their first game will be on Wednesday at Fort Borst Park.
