Rochester’s Tyler Klatush exploded for a game-high 32 points and Rochester knocked off Black Hills on the road for a 58-53 victory on Tuesday.

The Warriors used a strong start, reeling off a 15-9 lead in the first quarter to steal the momentum, and never relinquished the lead from then on to secure the victory.

I think our defense was special tonight,” Rochester coach Derrick Pringle said. “We lost a game we really wanted, and we knew that we were just a play away to turn this program around. Black Hills is a well-coached team and fundamentally sound.

“Tonight was our night to put it together, we did. I’m so proud of these guys. We have and are going through some tough times right now. It was good to see them get the monkey off their back with a big win.”

Sawyer Robbins added nine points, Ben Clouse had six and Larenz Payne finished with five for the Warriors. Black Hills was led by Johnnie Stallings’ 22 points.
