A 51-point second half for Wenatchee Valley ruined what looked like a promising start for the home team at the men’s basketball Centralia College Crossover Tournament here on Wednesday. The Trailblazers led by four at halftime before falling 77-72 to the Knights.

Wenatchee used an 18 rebound advantage (48-30) to their advantage in the win as both teams shot nearly identical clips from the floor and the free throw line. Chance Michels led the Knights with 20 points while Malik Parsons added 18 points.

Jaylin Walker scored a game-high 25 points for Centralia while Kobe Matsen chipped in 11 points. Jerry Boston Junior and Elijah Hoover added eight points each in the loss. Tyler Ashmore grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds in the contest.

Centralia will take on Olympic College at 4 p.m. on Thursday and Skagit Valley at noon on Saturday. Both games will be at Michael Smith Gymnasium for the Centralia College Crossover Tournament.
