Week 10 Football Crossover Schedule

With the state tournament on the horizon, and the end of the football regular season ending last Friday, matchups for Week 10 crossover play are set.

Read below for a full breakdown on the Week 10 schedule, with state playoff berths on the line at the 2A, 1A, 2B and 1B level in Lewis and Thurston County. 

2A Football Crossover Schedule

With just two losses on its schedule, the surging W.F. West Bearcats will take on Mark Morris at Tiger Stadium in Centralia this Friday at 7 p.m. The 2A Evergreen Conference second-seed Bearcats (7-2, 5-1 EvCo) have lost to just 3A Kelso and league champion Tumwater this season, and will play a 2A Greater St. Helens League third-seed Monarchs (5-4, 5-3 GSHL) squad with losses to Aberdeen, Castle Rock, Ridgefield and Hockinson. 

League champs Tumwater will play against the GSHL fourth-seed, Columbia River, which has lost to Mark Morris, Bremerton, Hockinson, Ridgefield, Hudson’s Bay and Skyview. 

The third and fourth seeds in EvCo were decided by a Kansas tiebreaker on Monday, with Rochester coming out on top to earn the third seed, and Aberdeen earning the fourth. The Warriors will now face Hockinson at 6 p.m., Saturday at Battle Ground High School for its crossover matchup with the GSHL second seed.

(GSHL 3) Mark Morris vs. (EvCo 2) W.F. West - Friday, 7 p.m. at Tiger Stadium in Centralia

1A Football Crossover Schedule

The only 1A football squad in The Chronicle’s coverage area could be state-bound for the first time in nearly a decade. The Tenino Beavers, after suffering just one loss all season to league champ Eatonville, 24-22, are the second seed in the 1A Evergreen Conference and will play 1A Trico runner-up Castle Rock at home on Friday. 

Castle Rock lost to La Center last Friday in what was the de facto Trico league championship, 31-14. The Rockets have losses to Ridgefield, Montesano, Eatonville and La Center. 

Tenino has four common opponents with Castle Rock: Montesano, Columbia (White Salmon), Seton Catholic and Eatonville. The Beavers were able to dispatch three of those common opponents while the Rockets managed wins over just Columbia and Seton Catholic.

2B Football Crossover Schedule

After two games to decide the final seeding heading into crossover weekend were played on Monday, the matchups are set for Central 2B League crossover play. 

Adna, having to play a rescheduled game against Wahkiakum for the fourth seed in South, lost to the Mules 17-0 to fall to the fifth seed, and will now have to play No. 1 Napavine on Saturday. The Mules have slotted into the fourth seed and will head to second-seed Forks. 

Toledo managed a 28-14 victory over Pe Ell-Willapa Valley on Monday to earn a bid into crossover weekend, and will play 2B District 1 Northwest League champion Friday Harbor in Oak Harbor at 1 p.m. on Saturday. 

(South 5) Adna at (North 1) Napavine - Saturday, 1 p.m.

(South 4) Wahkiakum at (North 2) Forks - Saturday, 2 p.m.

(South 3) Toledo at Friday Harbor - Saturday, 1 p.m. at Oak Harbor High School

(North 4) MWP at (South 2) Onalaska - Friday, 7 p.m.

(North 5) Raymond-South Bend at (South 1) Kalama - Friday, 7 p.m.

1B Football Crossover Schedule

Two Lewis County football squads will have a chance to punch their tickets to state this weekend in the 1B ranks, with both Winlock and Mossyrock earning berths to play competition during crossover weekend. 

The Vikings, finishing third in Columbia Valley League, will play at Neah Bay, the Northwest League champ, on Saturday. Mossyrock and Neah Bay have just two common opponents: Naselle and Lummi. While the Vikings lost to both, the Red Devils split the matchups, beating Lummi last Friday. 

The Cardinals finished second in the CVL, and will host Evergreen Lutheran on Friday. The Eagles lost to Quilcene on Saturday to finish second in 1B SeaTac League, their only loss of the season. The Cardinals have lost to just Naselle, the winner will move on to state.

(ST 2) Evergreen Lutheran at (CVL 2) Winlock - Friday, 7 p.m.
