With every match ending in a pin, and in quick time, the W.F. West boys wrestling team defeated Black Hills on the road Wednesday night, 71-18.

The match lasted just under 30 minutes, with pins to go along for everyone. Ten Bearcats earned victories opposed to the Wolves three.

Winners for the Bearcats settled on the mat included Adrian James Montenegro, Graysen Serl, Cristo Parriott, Blake Ely, Hayden Sciera, Cage Homan, Tucker Land, Waylen Land, Andrew Penland, and Daniel Matagi.

Damien Hernandez picked up a win by forfeit for W.F. West.

“The kids are doing well right now,” W.F. West coach Jamie Rakevich said. “We’re looking good. Hopefully we’re ready for the postseason, our older guys are there and ready to go.”

The Bearcats will wrestle for their 10th straight league title against Aberdeen Thursday on the road.
