The W.F. West baseball team won its ninth straight game to end the regular season on Thursday, blanking Aberdeen 10-0 on the road.

The Bearcats took control instantly with a seven-run first, and they tacked on three more runs across the fourth and fifth to put the run-rule into effect.

Connor Coleman hit a home run and drove in four runs as part of his 2 for 3 days, while Weston Potter added two hits and two RBIs. Alex Stafford didn’t have a base hit, but he added two RBIs of his own and scored another run.

Emmett Goodman pitched the first four innings, allowing just three hits, while Hudson McCallum struck out the side in the fifth.

As the EvCo champion, W.F. West (19-2, 14-1 2A EvCo) will take on either Ridgefield or Mark Morris in a district quarterfinal on Tuesday at home.
