The W.F. West boys basketball team ended up on the wrong end of another tough non-league matchup on Saturday, as the Bearcats were defeated by Port Angeles 65-53.
After an even first half, the Roughriders slowly pulled away in the second half, first outscoring W.F. West by four in the third before doubling the Bearcats up in the fourth to seal the win.
Carlos Vallejo led W.F. West offensively with a big day in the paint, scoring 28 points, including 17 of W.F. West’s 24 second-half points.
Grady Westlund added eight points, and Weston Potter scored seven.
The Bearcats (1-4) will look to snap their skid at Kingston on Friday.
