The Bearcat boys got back in the win column on Friday, snapping a four-game losing streak with a 51-47 win at Kingston.
W.F. West built an early lead with a 15-point first, and it did enough in the final three frames to hold onto the lead despite being outscored in each of the last three quarters.
Grady Westlund had another big night in the paint, hauling in 21 rebounds and scoring 11 points, while Weston Potter led the team in scoring with 13 points, and he also grabbed nine boards of his own.
Gage Grisham added seven points, and Gage Brumfield and Hayden Rooney both scored six. Rooney also blocked three shots defensively, and Fox Rogerson scored five points.
Freshman Wyatt Hoffman rounded out the W.F. West scoresheet with three points, and he also logged five rebounds.
The Bearcats (2-4) will be in action up north again on Saturday, when they’ll take on Sequim in their final game of 2024.
