Wolves can’t take advantage of walks, fall to Bobcats

Leaving the bases loaded twice and drawing eight walks against Aberdeen ace Lilly Camp were a handful of opportunities Black Hills had on Monday night, but never capitalized on them in a 6-2 loss at home.

The Wolves (5-5, 2-4 EvCo) left six runners in scoring position and never came away with a two-out hit. They only struck out seven times against Camp and cut into a 6-0 deficit with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Emma Arko recorded an RBI groundout and Madi Malone recorded a sacrifice fly. Hannah O’Shurak notched two hits and Kailey Miller roped a double. Aberdeen jumped out in front with two runs in the first and third innings.

Black Hills will travel to Centralia on Wednesday in a key league contest.
