Wolves Drop First District Matchup in Ridgefield

Though the Black Hills boys basketball team led after one quarter, a 20-10 spurt in the second quarter in favor of Ridgefield ultimately did the Wolves in, suffering a 54-40 2A District IV opening loss on Saturday.

The Wolves were led by Johnnie Stallings 12 points, and Luke Ellison’s 11 points, but couldn’t keep up with a high-powered Spudder attack and a stifling defense.

Black Hills will play Woodland in a loser-out matchup on Tuesday at Ridgefield High School.
