Wolves Take Down Tigers

Playing back at home after back-to-back league losses, the Black Hills football team got back to .500 in league play with a 41-14 win over Centralia Friday night. 

The Wolves struck early and often through the air, with Jaxsen Beck going 11 for 17 for 172 yards and three touchdowns, and also adding two scores on the ground. The Wolves outgained the Tigers, 379-189 on the night. 

Centralia was led by another good night from Kellen Rooklidge, who rushed for 82 yards on 15 carries. Quarterback Tommy Billings had two rushing scores in the second and fourth quarters for the Tigers. 

Willie Stinkeaway, Gabe Seymour, and Rooklidge all finished with four tackles to lead Centralia on the defensive side. 

The Tigers play 1A Hoquiam next Friday for senior night, while Black Hills takes on Shelton at home in another big league contest for postseason implications.
