A two-year-old girl and her mother fell about 50 feet while hiking near a Multnomah Falls trail Sunday afternoon, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to reports of the injured hikers at about 12:19 p.m., officials said. The mother and daughter were assisted by other hikers at the scene, including an off-duty emergency room doctor, before emergency personnel arrived, officials said.
The mother and daughter were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Officials did not immediately release names of the injured hikers or the age of the mother.
