129707 Notice to Bidders NOTICE TO BIDDERS Lewis Conservation District Chehalis, Washington South Fork Newaukum River Wilson-Zylstra Erosion Protection Project 2024 SEALED BIDS will be received for South fork Newaukum River Wilson-Zylstra Erosion Project 2024, (Engineer's Estimate $250,000.00 - $275,000) at the office of Lewis Conservation District, located at 2057 SW Salsbury Avenue, Chehalis, WA 98532, until May 15 at 2 P. M., at which time they will be publicly opened and read. A mandatory job show will be held at the site on April 30 at 10 A. M., Site address is 718 State Route 508, Onalaska, WA 98570. Coordinates: Latitude 46.575481, Longitude -122.828769 Attendance at the job show is required for bid submission. This project includes the restoration of approximately 250 linear feet of streambank along the South Fork of the Newaukum River, spanning two private properties, including: \b Install 2 distinct types of log jams, including 44 rootwads & 30 driven timber piles. \b Excavation and haul of 300 cubic yards of floodplain and 55 CY angular rock. \b Installation of erosion control fabric associated to bank stabilization. \b Move a large Spruce as shown on the Plans, requiring stream crossing. This project is funded by grants administered by the Washington Recreation and Conservation Office. Washington State prevailing wage provisions apply to this project and contractors will be required to file a Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages to Department of Labor and Industries, as well as Affidavit of Wages Paid. The district will not make final payment until they receive evidence that the Affidavit form has been certified by L&I. PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ADDENDA, PROPOSAL FORMS, BIDDERS LIST, AND PLAN HOLDERS LIST for this project will be available at Lewis Conservation District, 2057 SW Salsbury Ave., Chehalis, WA, 98532. The Proposal Bond can be on DOT Form 272-001 revised 08/2001 for Local Agency Use. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the Specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to Lewis Conservation District.
