The Lewis County Soroptimist Club is hosting the second annual 100+ Women Who Care event for women who live in Lewis County and would like to support their community by donating to local nonprofits, according to a news release from the Soroptimist Club.
It will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, at the historic Lewis and Clark Hotel in downtown Centralia.
The event will showcase three local nonprofits: the Lewis County Autism Coalition, Hope Alliance of Lewis County and the Hope Housing Collaborative of Lewis County.
The nonprofits were picked randomly from the nominations that were provided by the participants from last year, the release stated.
Attendees will hear 10-minute presentations from each organization about their mission, impact and needs. Then, participants will vote to determine which nonprofit will receive the donations raised during the event.
The winner of last year’s event was Onalaska Farm Sanctuary, which was awarded $6,530 but decided to split it with the two other nonprofits competing, the Boys & Girls Club of Lewis County and Toledo Community Foundation.

No ticket or reservation is necessary, and the only cost to attend is a $100 donation. The $100 donation includes one voting ticket for this year’s competing nonprofits, plus one nomination card for next year. Cash or check is preferred.
