A 1,700-mile charity bicycle ride to raise money and awareness for The Fuller Center for Housing is set to arrive in Chehalis on Monday, June 2, after a 65-mile ride from Tacoma.
The bikers will stay overnight at St. John’s Lutheran Church before continuing their trip on Tuesday morning with a 90-mile ride to Naselle.
Their four-week journey will conclude June 28 in San Diego, according to a news release from the bicyclists.
Since the first ride in 2008, more than 1,800 Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure cyclists have ridden over 1.9 million cumulative miles and raised more than $6.4 million for The Fuller Center for Housing’s mission of helping families have places to live through repair work and new home builds.
The Fuller Center for Housing, founded in 2005 by Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree Millard Fuller, has earned the highest level four-star rating from Charity Navigator. The nonprofit is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the release stated.
