The 24th Annual Saginaw Day Logging Show is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20, next to the Brooklyn Tavern, 2611 North River Road, Cosmopolis.
Participant registration opens at 9 a.m. and competition begins at 11 a.m. in the field next to the Brooklyn Tavern, a news release from the event’s coordinators stated.
Competition is limited to amateurs, such as loggers who are currently working in the local industry and not performing on the competitive circuit, according to the release.
Events include double bucking, single bucking, ma and pa bucking, axe throwing, choker setting, chain saw bucking, pole climbing, pole falling, obstacle choker setting and log rolling, more accurately known as burling.
Additionally, a steam donkey presentation and kid’s events will also be held.
