Adna Car Show organizers presented a check for $29,350 to the Adna Scholarship Committee on Tuesday.
The money came from the Adna Car Show Camp and Cruise, which, organized by Adna Grocery owners Jim and Cindy Smith, took place in July.
“My wife Cindy and I had a vision after purchasing the Adna Grocery to do something for the Adna community and the Adna school,” Jim Smith said.
The event is now in its fourth year. The car show in Adna raised $7,798 in 2020, $16,698 in 2021, $17,680 in 2022 and $29,350 in 2023.
“The kids that helped out at the car show are the ones that benefit from the funds raised,” Jim Smith said.
The Smiths extended their thanks to Barb and Frank Mason for allowing use of their property, as well as Angie Krause, Jen Krueger, Jim Quick, Jim and Lois Walterscheid, and the Adna seniors who helped with the event.
