The Adna girls soccer team snapped a two-game league losing streak on Wednesday, pulling away in the second half to top Toutle Lake 4-0.
Charlotte Deguise opened the scoring off an assist from Madi Otten in the sixth minute of the game, but the chances didn’t come as consistently over the final 30-plus minutes of the first half.
Those chances came in a flurry after the break, though, as Otten scored in the 44th minute before adding a second in the 68th to extend Adna’s lead to three. Raegan Sherman made it 4-0 in the 76th minute off an assist from Haley Roundtree.
By the end of the game, the Pirates had outshot the Ducks 26-5.
“In the second half, we did a better job of finding our passes to people,” Adna coach Patrick Richardson said. “We had plenty of good looks from different angles. We just need to make adjustments to finish them off.”
Adna (7-6, 2-2 C2BL) will be back at home on Monday to host Forks.
