Spurred by a double-double from Alyssa Carroll and 25 points from guard McKenna Torrey, the Pirates upended the Ducks 67-55 to stay at the forefront of the C2BL race on Tuesday night in Toutle.
Down two entering the locker room, Adna (13-2, 3-1 C2BL) put up 22 points in the third and 18 in the fourth to pull away. Eleven of Torrey’s points were from the free throw line and she also added nine boards and five steals. Carroll recorded 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Ava Humphrey chipped in nine points and Rhylee Beebe dished out seven assists. Defensively, Adna limited the Dean sisters of Toutle Lake to a combined 24 points. The Pirates take on another one-loss league team on Thursday versus Toledo.
“It’s a great group effort again in a tough road environment,” Adna head coach Chris Bannish said. “Very proud of our kids.”
