Adna tops Winlock and Mary M. Knight at Riverside

The Adna golf teams took on Winlock and Mary M. Knight on Tuesday at Riverside Golf Course, and the Adna boys came away with a 203-235 victory.

Braeden Salme led the Pirates with a 43, while Carter White shot a 52. Brodey Luurs and Alex Smith rounded out the Adna scorers with a pair of 54s, Jack Smith shot a 55, and Nate Scheuber logged a 60.

Trent Poirrier led Winlock with a 53, while Nick Ming shot a 58 and Julian Camps logged a 59.

Zach Anderson was the fourth and final scorer for the Cardinals with a 65, and David Cason and Hampton Huynh rounded out the Winlock scorecard with a 66 and 68, respectively.



The Adna and Winlock girls were also in action at Riverside, and the top six Adna golfers all finished with six strokes of each other to help the Pirates come away with a victory.

Kalli Christen led the way with a 58, while Jaylee Humphrey was right behind her with a 59. Charissa Schierman recorded a 61, and Molly Powell was one back with a 62. Jordanne Moon and Emma Elder weren;t far back with a 63 and 64, respectively.

Anna Sons and Harley Cruz both finished with 68s for the Cardinals.

The Pirates are back in action on April 10 in Ocean Shores against North Beach and Mary M. Knight.
