On Wednesday afternoon, Lewis County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress in the 1500 block Ferrier Road in Winlock, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
“The suspects were reportedly breaking into a garage and loading items into a red Honda Civic,” the sheriff’s office stated. “Several deputies responded to the area and contacted one of the suspects associated with the red Honda in the 100 block of Winter Road, Winlock. Through the investigation, which included our K9 deputy and his partner, Kimbo, evidence from the burglary and controlled substance, were recovered from the suspect vehicle after a search warrant was obtained. One suspect, a 53-year-old male of Tacoma, formerly of Vader, was booked on one count of burglary second degree and is being referred for possession of stolen property third degree and possession of a controlled substance. The second suspect, who left the area prior to our arrival, a 22-year-old male of Winlock, is being referred for one count of burglary second degree, possession of stolen property third-degree and possession of a controlled substance.
