Arvid’s Interior & Design will celebrate the purchase of a new building located at 1016 NW State Ave. in Chehalis with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house beginning at noon Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Kylene Davis, owner of Arvid’s, is also marking the three-year anniversary of purchasing the business from its previous owner. Davis, a Chehalis native, holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design from the Art Institute of Minnesota.

She began her career with Arvid and Cheri Wilder, the original owners, and acquired the business in 2021.

“As a new business owner, the journey was overwhelming,” Davis said. “This milestone is particularly special for me. We kept the name in honor of Arvid, who started the business in 1976."

Davis said she believes that being able to maintain local ownership in an era of corporate consolidation is another reason to celebrate.

Arvid’s Interior & Design provides a comprehensive range of interior products and services, including flooring, countertops, window treatments, furniture upholstery and custom draperies. Its team also offers design consultation, project management and professional installation.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is organized by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, which supports local businesses and their milestone celebrations. For more information, contact 360-748-8885 or email director@chamberway.com
