Bail was set at $25,000 for a woman accused of unlawfully entering a Toledo residence, assaulting the occupant and taking the occupant’s cellphone on Tuesday.

Jennifer Lynn Graham, 48, of Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail just before 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, after an officer with the Toledo Police Department responded to a report of a burglary and assault that took place on Pine Street, according to jail records and charging documents.

The victim reported that Graham “entered her residence, assaulted her, then left with her cellphone,” according to court documents.

Graham and the property owner reportedly confronted the victim “about still being on the property,” as the victim was in the process of moving out due to the property owner selling the property, according to court documents.

The victim said she told Graham to leave and went inside the residence. Graham allegedly followed the victim into the residence “and punched her,” according to court documents.

Graham allegedly continued to attack the victim as she fled from the living room, where the initial attack occurred, to the bedroom and then to the bathroom. The victim reportedly had a phone in her hand and told Graham she was going to call the police.

The victim reported she “fell to the ground while in the bathroom,” where Graham allegedly “began to punch and kick her while on the ground.”

Graham then allegedly took the phone from the victim’s hand.

The victim reported that “Graham eventually stopped assaulting her, which is when she got up and ran out of the house.”

Graham allegedly followed her out and fled the scene in a black SUV.

The responding officer documented the victim’s injuries, including “redness and swelling to her left temple/eye area, a cut on the back of her hand and redness to her legs,” according to court documents.

The victim told the officer she eventually “was able to find her phone” and call the police. She also called the property owner, who reportedly “would not provide any information on the whereabouts of Graham,” according to court documents.

Graham was charged with one count of first-degree burglary in Lewis County Superior Court on Wednesday, Aug. 7. The charge is a class A felony punishable by up to life in prison.

“The allegations here seem to be an unprovoked attack … that gives the court a lot of concern about community safety,” Judge Joely Yeager said of Graham’s case during a preliminary hearing in Lewis County Superior Court on Wednesday. “However, I believe much of that concern can be alleviated by an anti-harassment order, which I am going to grant.”

The anti-harassment order prohibits Graham from having any contact with the victim in this case while the case is active.

Arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 15.
