Tyson Ball, 35, was transported from Harborview Medical Center, where he was being treated for injuries sustained in the shootout, to the Lewis County Jail on Thursday, May 8.

According to the sheriff’s office, he has since made a court appearance where bail was set at $5 million.

Ball faces charges of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, first-degree burglary and several counts of first-degree assault.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting complaint at a residence in the 3300 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, according to the news release.

Ball, the suspected aggressor, was struck by a bullet.

“When law enforcement arrived, they learned a known 35-year-old male suspect entered the residence uninvited,” the sheriff’s office stated in a news release. “During the dispute which followed, both the suspect and one of the residents shot at each other, and the suspect was struck by a bullet.”

Ball was “conscious and alert” after being shot, according to the sheriff's office.
