With its full cast of characters healthy for the second straight game, the W.F. West High School girls basketball team dominated Aberdeen on Friday night to the tune of a 79-20 Evergreen Conference victory.
Thirty points scored in the second quarter for the Bearcats (18-1, 8-0 EvCo) is the third-highest in an eight minute stanza this season. A 52-13 halftime advantage was more than enough for them to coast to a home victory.
“Been awesome to have the full squad available,” W.F. West head coach Kyle Karnofski said. “When these two (Kaitlyn Chloupek and Rhylee Beebe), it helped us take our game to the next level.”
Chloupek scored 12 points and Beebe – in her second game back from injury – chipped in nine. The two stars of Julia Dalan and Dilyn Boeck notched 20 and 19 points, respectively. Grace Simpson continued her stellar 3-point shooting with 11 points on a couple triples.
W.F. West will hit the road to take on Shelton in the penultimate EvCo game on Tuesday before wrapping up the regular season versus Centralia on Thursday.
