Earlier this week, the first matchup between W.F. West and Centralia came down to the wire.
On Thursday at Wheeler Field, W.F. West made sure that Game 2 of the series wasn’t as close.
The Bearcats scored eight runs in the first inning to break the game open immediately, and they eventually came away with a 13-2 victory in five innings.
Alex Stafford hit a two-run double in the first and added another double later, finishing with three hits and three runs batted in. Wyatt Hoffman added a pair of hits and a pair of RBIs, and both Miles Martin and Connor Coleman also collected two hits and brought home a run.
Emmett Goodman pitched the first four innings of the game, allowing just two hits and walking one while racking up eight punchouts.
Caden Erickson drilled an RBI single, Gabe Salazar picked up a hit, and Jamie Conzatti drew a walk with the bases loaded to bring home Centralia’s second run.
Both teams will be at home on Friday. Centralia will welcome Tenino, while W.F. West will host Kelso.
