The Tenino girls basketball team suffered its third straight league loss on Thursday, as the Beavers fell to Hoquiam 66-24.

It wasn’t Tenino’s night from the start, as Hoquiam built a 15-point lead early and pulled away in the second half.

“We played well defensively,” Tenino coach Kirsi Gofinch said. “Turnovers just killed us. We learned a lot and know what we need to work on.”

Holly Thoren led the Beavers with seven points and 11 rebounds, while Jaeleen Woodward scored five points and grabbed three steals.

Chloe Grayless scored four points, while Brynn Williams scored two points and nabbed two steals. Brianna Asay also had two points and two steals, while Georgia Gore and Kylie Gonia both added two points.

Tenino (3-11, 0-3 1A Evergreen) will hit the road on Tuesday to face Rochester.
