The Tenino volleyball team celebrated senior night Thursday and proceeded to sweep Eatonville, 25-22, 25-12, 25-17 to wrap up the regular season.
It was the final home match on Brock Court for the Beavers’ five seniors: Sophia Hussey, Natalie Davis, Brooke Bratton, Kiyah Goodwin and Addyson Sutherland.
“They have bought in from Day 1 and grown tremendously in the past two seasons,” Tenino coach Shauna Carpenter said. “I wish I had more time with them. They will always have a special place on my heart.”
Due to other results, the three-set win ended up not mattering toward the final standings in the 1A Evergreen, and the Beavers (9-7, 4-4 1A Evergreen) finished third.
The seeding sends them to the 1A District 4 tournament, where they’ll face King’s Way Chrstian — the No. 2 out of the 1A TriCo — at Montesano next Wednesday.
