The Black Hills girls basketball team officially clinched the EvCo’s No. 2 seed on Thursday, defeating Aberdeen 65-37.
The Wolves came out firing, scoring 25 points in the first and adding 22 in the second to take a 47-15 lead into halftime.
Tyler Venable was lights-out from deep, hitting six of her eight threes en route to a 27-point game. She also grabbed nine rebounds, while Ellie Johnson added nine points, 14 rebounds, and four assists.
Natalie Buchanan scored 16 points and brought in six rebounds, and Kiley McMahon added nine points and five assists.
As the two seed, the Wolves will host Mark Morris, the GSHL’s three, next Friday, Feb. 14 in a district quarterfinal.
