Bon Bon Vivant has announced it will be performing in Centralia starting at 8 p.m. Aug. 14 at The Juice Box, located at 216 S. Tower Ave.
Having recently played for Centralia’s Music in the Park with Eel Sallad, New Orleans band Bon Bon Vivant pays homage to the bawdy New Orleans sound while infusing a klezmer spark, dark ballads and up-tempo dance rock. Bon Bon Vivant’s instrumentation, message of hope and ability to connect has proven an inspiring resilience, an Instagram post from the Washington Association of Culture and Arts (WACA) stated.
“For Bon Bon Vivant, live performance is about more than music — it’s storytelling in motion,” Bon Bon Vivant’s website reads. “Their shows are charged and immersive, pulling audiences into a world that’s both intimate and theatrical. Lead songwriter Abigail Cosio crafts songs that unfold like vignettes — emotional, witty, with a hint of the macabre.”
Bon Bon Vivant’s sound fuses the pulse of their New Orleans home with the grit of indie and the heart of Americana, their website states. In the hands of frontwoman Abigail Cosio and saxophonist and vocalist Jeremy Kelley, their bandmates are like family, and every show is a gathering of their ever-growing community, according to the website. Their marriage and creative partnership is foundational to Bon Bon Vivant’s musical identity.
Bon Bon Vivant's songs revel in the joys of existence while acknowledging the ever-present specter of loss, a balance deeply embedded in New Orleans itself, according to their website.
