Beginning May 5, the Huffaker Bridge located on U.S. Forest Road 25 at mile 7.66 within the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District will be closed to all traffic to facilitate a full bridge replacement, according to a news release from the Forest Service.
The road will be closed until Nov. 24. The closure begins at the junction of Forest Service Road 2508 and ends at the junction of Forest Service Road 26.
Due to a significant landslide at milepost 26, Forest Service Road 25 remains closed as a through-route until further notice.
Asphalt and deep patch repair work along Forest Service Road 25 will take place this summer at milepost 16.48 and milepost 40.63. Travelers should expect delays of 30 minutes to an hour. The scheduled start date has not been announced.
