An accidental fire caused by a baling machine burned approximately 2 acres of brush in the Doty area on Saturday.

No injuries or structural damage were reported.

“It's dry out there. The winds are not our friend. We're grateful this ended quickly,” the Boistfort Firefighters Association said in a Facebook post Saturday afternoon.

In addition to the Boistfort Fire Department, the Washington state Department of Natural Resources and Lewis County Fire Districts 16-Doty-Dryad, 11-Pe Ell and 6-Chehalis/Adna sent units to help extinguish the fire.

“Please use as much care as possible out there,” the Boistfort Firefighters Association advised.
