The Burdoin fire burning on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge grew to 8,700 acres on Sunday and is 0% contained.
Level 3 (go now) evacuations are in effect for residents in Lyle and High Prairie in Klickitat County.
The fire started at about 2 p.m. Friday near Courtney Road and Highway 14 milepost 68, according to county officials. Highway 14 is closed from the east side of Bingen to Lyle. Parts of Highways 142 and Centerville Highway are also closed.
Sunday wind is expected to push the fire north and northeast on Sunday, the Southwest Washington Interagency Incident Management Team said. Nearly 90 primary or minor structures have been damaged and one firefighter has been injured.
