Cause of Centralia fire that displaced three, destroyed home remains under investigation

A fire that displaced three people and rendered a home a complete loss in Centralia on Saturday, Dec. 13, remains under investigation, according to the Riverside Fire Authority. 

Firefighters were dispatched to the residential structure fire in the 400 block of Magnolia Street at about 8 p.m. Saturday. 

“Upon arrival, units ensured occupants of the single-family home were no longer in the building and began extinguishment the fire,” the Riverside Fire Authority stated in a news release. “One adult was transported for injury evaluation to Providence Centralia. The fire is considered a complete loss and three occupants displaced. No further injuries of note.” 



The cause of the fire remains under investigation.  

The Riverside Fire Authority received mutual aid and assistance from Lewis County Fire District 6, Chehalis Fire and the Centralia Police Department.
