The Centralia College softball team’s season came to an end on Friday, when the Trailblazers lost a pair of 7-1 games to Lower Columbia College on the turf at Bob Peters Field.
Graci Bonney-Spradlin led the CC offense with three hits in Game 1, while Rachel Gray added two hits and Chase White had an RBI single.
Emma Hoffmeister, Bethany Bowen, and Ava Hernandez only allowed a combined four hits in Game 2, but LCC was able to take advantage of 17 walks to put plenty of traffic on the basepaths.
Gracie Schofield drove in CC’s lone run, hitting an RBI single in the sixth, but the Trailblazers already trailed 6-0 at that point.
The Trailblazers end their regular season 13-28 overall and 9-21 in NWAC play, marking a five-win increase in league play and a six-win increase overall from last season.
Their season isn’t over, though, as they’ve qualified for the NWAC Championships in Portland.
The 16-team tournament begins on Thursday and runs through Sunday at Delta Park.
