The Centralia girls soccer team fell behind in the first minute against River Ridge and never recovered, as the Tigers fell in Lacey 6-0.
After conceding the opening goal, Centralia gave up two more goals before the half, and a halftime scuffle led to both teams playing with 10 players in the second half.
Centralia coach Luis Magana made the shift to a 4-3-2, hoping to send long balls up to his two strikes to generate some scoring opportunities.
“We definitely created chances,” Magana said. “But not enough to score.”
On the other side of the field, River Ridge tacked on three more goals.
“Our midfield is definitely struggling to maintain possession,” Magana said. “The last two games we have been chasing … All we can do now is turn the page and prepare for Rochester.”
The Tigers (0-2) will be back on the Tiger Stadium turf to host the Warriors on Thursday.
