The Centralia Community Foundation is seeking donors to support its missions related to increasing education opportunities for Centralia students.

“There are great benefits that flow from investing in education,” read a news release from the foundation. “We believe that quality education and enhanced career training programs will provide more opportunities for our future and create a healthy community where families and businesses can thrive.”

Recent donors to the foundation have included Title Guaranty Company of Lewis County, Security State Bank and Par 4 Sports.

Title Guaranty donated $10,000 to the foundation.

“We think it is important to support the Centralia Community Foundation with their investments in our community. They have proven to be trusted stewards of our gifts and continue to be a successful catalyst in forming partnerships for the Centralia School District and Centralia College with business leadership, significant employers, and county and state organizations that can help our area. We will all benefit from enhancements to education and career opportunities, and we want to be involved,” read a statement from Title Guaranty Company co-managers Janelle Elliott-Sedy and Jessi Cox.

Security State Bank donated $5,000 to the foundation. A statement from CEO Dwayne Aberle read: “We initially supported the Foundation with their work in enhancing education in the Centralia School District, and now with their Career Pathways Initiative, it is just as easy for us to get behind their work.”

Par 4 Sports, a new virtual sports business inside the NW Sports Hub in Centralia, held a virtual golf tournament last week to support the Centralia Community Foundation’s education and career initiatives, raising a total of $5,000.
