Centralia dominates Shelton to win sixth straight dual

All six matches for the Tigers were straight set wins to beat the Highclimbers 6-0 on Monday afternoon at Tiger Stadium. Centralia is on a six-match winning streak and for the third time in four duals, won 6-0.

“It was another confidence boosting win today as we lock in our doubles teams in preparation for sub-districts,” Centralia head coach Keith Hopkins said. “They’re beginning to gel together and are coming into some of our best performances at just the right time.”



Ayden Butler and Madi Breckel cruised at No. 1 doubles 6-0, 6-3 while Suki Bringman and Saryn Pelesky won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 doubles. Brook Frakes and Neela Haywood broke their opponents’ serve once per set to win 6-4, 6-4.

Maya Lackie (No. 1 singles), Esther Hopkins (No. 2) and Eliyah Rooklidge (No. 3) lost a combined 16 games to win their matches. Centralia returns to the court on Tuesday to take on Tumwater.
