From 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, the Centralia Downtown Association (CDA) will host its final block party of the year at The Station Powered by Lewis County Coffee Co.

The focus of the block party will be thanking volunteers.

“This is one I’m so passionate about,” said MacKenzie McGee, CDA executive director. “We’re a volunteer-based organization and we couldn’t accomplish half of what we do without the help of our volunteers at every level. This is just one way we get to say ‘thank you’ to those who serve the Hub City in downtown.”

The free event is open to anyone who loves downtown Centralia to attend, with refreshments available courtesy of the CDA and catered by Lewis County Coffee Company.

Awards for 2024 will be presented during the event as well.

“If you know me, you know I’m big on celebrating the good in life, and our volunteers deserve the biggest celebration of all for all the good they do in our community,” McGee said.

Information about upcoming CDA holiday events will also be available at the block party.

The Centralia Downtown Association is a nonprofit with a mission to create a vibrant downtown experience for locals and visitors by promoting historic preservation, economic growth and creative place-making in the heart of the Hub City.
