A doublewide home and its contents are considered a “complete loss” after fire burned through the building on Saturday, Sept. 26, according to the Riverside Fire Authority.

Firefighters were dispatched to the blaze in the 2000 block of Van Wormer Street in Centralia at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

“First arriving units found heavy fire and smoke through the roof of an approximately 1,200-square-foot doublewide manufactured home with multiple exposures,” the fire authority stated.

The occupants of the home evacuated safely and have been displaced by the blaze. The Red Cross is assisting them with housing and resources.

There were no injuries.

In addition to destroying the home, the fire also damaged utilities and a car port.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Riverside was assisted by the Chehalis Fire Department, Lewis County Fire District 6, Centralia City Light and the Centralia Building Department.
