Centralia home a complete loss after fire, displacing two residents

Two Centralia residents were displaced and their home was a complete loss after a fire on Monday morning, according to the Riverside Fire Authority. 

Firefighters were dispatched to the residential structure fire at about 9:45 a.m. Monday in the 3500 block of Harrison Avenue, near Goodrich Road. 

“Units arriving ensured the occupants were out of the double-wide mobile structure and effected fire extinguishment,” the fire authority stated in a news release, adding that two adults were displaced and their home is considered a complete loss.  



Red Cross is assisting the family with temporary housing.  

No injuries to occupants or firefighters were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Riverside Fire Authority received mutual aid and assistance from Lewis County Fire District 6, Chehalis Fire and the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
