Cushions of 4-0 and 6-2 by the Tigers were wiped away on the strength of the Eagles’ seven-run top of the fifth that gave them the lead for good and came away with a 17-9 victory on Saturday at Heritage High School.

Hudson’s Bay tied the game at six before the first out was recorded, then a single, run-scoring error and RBI groundout capped the frame. It scored three more runs in the sixth and tallied five in the seventh to nab full control.

Centralia (0-5) succumbed to four errors and eight of the runs allowed were unearned. Hudson Waterfield roped an RBI double to start the scoring in the first and in a three-run second, the Tigers scored without putting a ball in play, all with two outs.

Two bases loaded walks and a wild pitch gave them a 4-0 advantage. Jacob Johnson finished 3-for-5 at the plate while Waterfield, Jon Leedy and Brock Boone all drove in two runs. Centralia will take on Montesano on Tuesday night.
