A Centralia motorcyclist died following a collision on state Route 6 in Adna last week, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

Brian D. Bundy, 60, was airlifted from the scene to MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital on April 8. WSP announced his death in an updated press release on Saturday, April 11.

Next of kin have been notified.

According to WSP, Bundy was riding a 2013 BMW F800 motorcycle eastbound near Penning Road at about 10:30 a.m. April 8 when he struck a westbound 2023 Ford F-350 pickup truck turning left onto Penning Road.

Troopers said the motorcycle came to rest in the westbound ditch. The truck came to rest on Penning Road.

Bundy was reportedly wearing a federally compliant helmet.

The driver of the F-350, Kailee A. Masteller, 34, of Centralia, and three child passengers, went uninjured in the collision. All four were wearing seat belts.

Though it received reportable damage, troopers said the truck was driven from the scene.

Bundy’s motorcycle was considered totaled.

The state patrol’s incident report listed speed as the cause of the incident and said it was unknown whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
