The Centralia Police Department will provide a demonstration of its two K9 officers, Havik and Hector, at its next town hall meeting on Thursday, Feb. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The event will be held at Centralia Church of the Nazarene located at 1119 W. First St.
According to the department, the family-friendly event is “open to anyone who lives, works or goes to school in Centralia.”
In addition to meeting the K9 officers, attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about the department and ask officers questions.
The Centralia Police Department announced the addition of Hector and his handler, Officer Daniel Cox, last December. Cox and Hector joined Officer Kyle Stockdale and Havik in the unit, which was created by Chief Ken Payne in 1979.
Those with questions about the event can reach out to the department at 360-330-7680.
