The Centralia boys soccer team boosted its postseason chances on Thursday, defeating Shelton on the road 2-0 for a critical league win.
Miles Page scored in the 20th minute to put the Tigers on the board, and Cristian Luis scored in the 60th minute off an Alan Vazquez assist to double the advantage.
With the victory, the Tigers are now a half-game up on Black Hills for the fourth and final district tournament spot. Centralia has one game to play against Aberdeen, while Black Hills will play W.F. West and Shelton.
If the two teams finish with the same record, the Wolves get the tiebreaker because they swept the season series.
Centralia’s (7-8, 3-6 2A EvCo) matchup against Aberdeen is set for Tuesday at Tiger Stadium.
