Longtime Chehalis City Councilor Daryl Lund officially announced his intentions to retain his position on the council in a news release delivered to The Chronicle on Tuesday.

“I will work diligently as a city council member to protect our valuable taxpayer dollars and ensure they are allocated where they are needed most,” said Lund, who has 20 years of experience on the council. “I have a solid record of being fiscally conservative while still ensuring that the most vulnerable individuals in our community are cared for.”

He already has support for his campaign from Chehalis Mayor Tony Ketchum, Councilor Kevin Carns, former state Rep. Richard DeBolt, Buck Hubbert, and Richard and Mary Graham, according to the release. Lund said he is seeking additional endorsements, financial assistance and volunteers for his campaign.
