Chehalis Community Farmers Market to Open  Downtown Tuesday

Posted

The Chehalis Community Farmers Market will celebrate its 18th season as it opens on Tuesday.

The farmers market will be open on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its traditional location on Boistfort Street in downtown Chehalis. Over 25 local farmers and vendors will be selling their goods at the market.

“Food dollars spent at local farms and vendors stay in the local economy and help create more jobs at local businesses. Local food also creates community, connecting people with farmers who bring them local healthy foods,” the Chehalis Farmers Market said in its announcement.

Children will have the opportunity to participate in educational programs offered by the Kids’ Club and will receive free tokens to spend on fresh produce and flowers.  EBT and SNAP will be accepted. The Chehalis Farmers Market will be continuing the Market Match program and will be matching up to $40 when purchasing local produce.
